Hillside's Mission

Our church family exists to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

We do this by Connecting, Learning, and Serving. It is not an easy lifestyle, but it is life-giving and simple. You are invited to join us in this biblical lifestyle.

Hillside's Core Values

The Bible is Our Guide:

We believe God speaks to us through the Scriptures, so the Bible is our ultimate authority, guiding us in thought, word, and action. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105) I trust and follow the Bible.

Intimacy with God:

We believe God desires an intimate relationship with every individual. This relationship grows through prayer, meditation, worship, Bible study, and listening to and obeying the Holy Spirit. (James 4:8; 1 Chronicles 28:9) I listen for God’s voice.

Authentic Relationships:

We believe relationships that express care, accountability, and a sense of belonging are critical to progress in our spiritual journey. (Proverbs 27:17; Hebrews 10:24-25) My relationships are genuine.

Salvation of the Next Generation:

We believe our role is to support ministry in environments that appeal to people less than 30 years of age without alienating older men & women. Every generation is necessary to grow a healthy Christian community. (Matthew 18:3-6; Mark 10:16; I Timothy 4:12) I am raising up the next generation to trust Jesus.

Living and Sharing Our Faith:

We believe that every believer is responsible for living out their faith in Jesus before others in a tangible way. We also believe sharing our faith in Jesus with words is necessary for others to know the Good News. It is also our responsibility to support those God has called into mission work.  (Philemon 6; Romans 10:14-15) I share my faith.

Serving in the Right Place:

We believe that every believer is gifted by God and responsible for building up the church. We must continually equip, empower and release people into service. Our effectiveness is contingent upon a coordinated, strategic exercising of gifts in the body.  (1 Peter 4:10-11; Ephesians 4:11-13) I am using my spiritual gifts.
