Hillside Core Values

Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

We believe God speaks to us through the Scriptures, so the Bible is our ultimate authority, guiding us in thought, word, and action. (2 Tim 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105)

We believe God desires a relationship with every individual. This relationship grows through prayer, meditation, worship, Bible study,
and listening to and obeying the Holy Spirit. (James 4:8; 1 Chronicles 28:9)

We believe relationships that express care, accountability, and a sense of belonging are critical for us to grow together in faith. (Proverbs 27:17; Hebrews 10:24-25)

We believe our role is to support ministry
that appeals to people less
than 30 years of age without alienating older men and women.
Every generation is necessary to grow a healthy Christian community.
(Matt 18:3-6; Mark 10:16; 1 Tim 4:12)

We believe that every Christian is responsible for living out their faith in Jesus before others in a tangible way. (Philemon 6)

We believe every Christian is uniquely called, specifically positioned and supernaturally equipped to build the church. (1 Peter 4:10-11; Ephesians 4:11-13)

We believe we have been blessed to be a blessing. Hillside gives generously to the world around us, both locally and globally.
(Romans 10:14-15)
