The struggle for lasting hope is fierce – and the time is now for our hearts to be nourished and full. Join us for a night of worship where we learn to feast with body, soul, and spirit. Worship recording artist Jared Anderson, together with gospel partner Every Home for Christ, invites you to come and gather at the table with believers in your area and Encounter God’s life-giving truth. Featuring Jon Egan and Nicole Serrano.
Active members in worshipping communities have a vital part to play in contributing to the people of God. Worship recording artist and church songwriter Jared Anderson invites you to a discussion on the prophetic role of creativity in the church, and how it can be cultivated in every role of corporate worship.
Held before the evening’s Encounter Life night of worship, this worship leader training is intended for every member of a worship team community. From leader to musician to technical support, the training will bring the full team from the Encounter Life tour – including musicians and tech professionals – to train in each specialty area. The training event aims to inspire and encourage your entire team to grow in heart and purpose.
“Serving long hours with a smile, the missions outreach team from Sacramento State Chi Alpha, infused our leaders with renewed joy as they invested into our ministries the last week of May and first week of June. We were delighted to reunite with Tim and Emily Oldenkamp (who worked with us in Grenoble for 3 years), and to get to know their co-leader, Dina. Partnering with our people as translators, the team connected with new students on campus through interviewing groups on cultural values, giving out free coffee, and inviting them to special events. They also spruced up our center, Melting Potes, with a thorough spring cleaning and completion of miscellaneous repair projects. One of the many highlights was the California team introducing street slang to our Converse english outreach class, and watching several hilarious improv skits during a glammed up Hollywood Night.” – Missionary Mark Good

What if where you live is exactly where God wants you to be? Is it possible that you are the perfect person to show the love of Christ to your neighbors and friends? With God, anything is possible. Sometimes in life we can get into a pattern of going day in and day out doing relatively the same things, missing out on the adventure that lays in waiting for us. As humans, we were made to be in community with one another but we often don’t participate in it, and God has given us the greatest tool to launch into your world…LOVE.
Hillside is excited to move into August with a passion for the place God has placed us to live. No matter where you may call home, God has put you there for a reason. Let’s discover the destiny that awaits us together as we embark into the LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE series.
During these next two weeks, spend some time thinking and dwelling on the “Selah” Psalms so that your soul may have time to reflect and rest. Don’t rush through this as that isn’t the point, instead dwell on the truth of God’s word until it’s deep in you.
Summer is here and there is something special beginning at HCC.
During the month of July, Hillside Christian Church is entering a series we’re calling “Summer Chapel”. Our hope is that YOU would leave the 9am, 11am, or 6:30pm services feeling encouraged and refreshed. While summer is known for being a time to kick back, we know it can often be a time of crazy schedules, intense heat, and stressful weeks.
There is a someone who takes our schedules, and really our lives, and teaches us how to live them in a way that not only blesses our own lives, but the lives of others, and that’s Jesus. Come join us this summer and experience the refreshing work of Jesus in your life. No matter who you are and no matter what your experience has been in church, this is a great 5 weeks to jump in. We will be hearing from a few different communicators and will also have some powerful music that you don’t want to miss.
Don’t come alone, bring a buddy with you and get refreshed for summer at Summer Chapel.
Join us after 2nd service for a FREE bbq at HCC. One of our Kingdom Builder ministries “New Day for Children” is putting the BBQ on for us and will be taking donations that will go to help fight the war on sex trafficking. Come out and support this amazing ministry and have a great BBQ here at HCC. The BBQ will start at 12:30pm following our second service.
We have officially started our summer Bible study here at HCC. If you are curious about scripture or want to go deeper, but are unable to attend our Tuesday night study don’t worry, we’ve recorded everything!
